It Annoys Me.
Sep. 25th, 2007 08:48 pmI'm watching the season premiere of NCIS. I really enjoy this show, it's a lot of fun and the eye candy ain't bad at all. But one thing annoys the bejeesus out of me.
The arch villain (or we're supposed to think he is) is a Frenchman, so they've given him the code name of "The Frog". AND, they use the French word for it... 'La Grenoille'.
Super. Fine. Marvelous.
Except that it's NOT pronoucned... la gren - wee.
It's ... La Gren-oy - more or less phonetically.
It gives me a jerk every time one of the team says it. Even given the differences between the France French pronunciation and the Quebec French, the word is NOT that different! BAH!
