Evaine's Doing WHAT?

I've decided to attempt NaNoWriMo once again.  This will be the third time.  First time around, I only made it about 30K words.  Last year, I did it.  Went over 50K words of utter drek - but hey, I did it, right?  So, I'm going to try again this year.

I've decided on a plot - okay, a sorta plot.  *LOL*  AU Metallica.  Yeah, what else?  I see you all rolling your eyes.  *chuckle*  But I want to write something fun, that will keep my interest for the month, something that won't be a chore to go back to every day. 

My idea owes a nod to  madandy 's  fabulous "Legends" epic.  I think this was the first rock band AU that I read, and I enjoyed it mightily.  Showed me that it could be done and done well.  And then the idea of a Tallica AU began to tickle the back of my mind.

One of my favorite movies is The Magnificent Seven.  Let me enumerate here...  James, Lars, Kirk, Tru, Jason, Cliff and Dave.  I count 7, don't you?  *grin*   Set this baby in the equivalent of 13th century Britain, throw in some fantasy elements, evil false king Axl of the Rose, cold nights by the campfire, long legs in hose - *grin* - stir it all together and see what bubbles up. 

So, I have a little over a month to create characters, settings, jot down ideas for scenes.  Let's hope that come November 1st I'm still as keen on this.  *LOL*

You know, I really wish I could draw, because some of the pictures I see in my mind's eye of the boys kitted out in their way-back-then costumes...  droolsome, just freakin' droolsome!

So, that'd be my plan.  Nano... watch out!

Ooh... I should make a couple of Nano icons, shouldn't I?  *grin*
